Councilman 2021 to present: John Graziano and his wife Kelly, live in Bloomingdale with their children Scarlett and Anthony. Born and raised in Bloomingdale and son of a former Mayor, John has a deep understanding of the history of the borough and the concerns and needs of its residents. John has represented and served Bloomingdale in various ways. In 2015, John helped reinstate the Bloomingdale Economic Development Commission and continues to serve as its chairman. John is an organizer for Bloomingdale Celebration day and a liaison for the Sloan Park Festival. He also serves as chair of the Budget Committee, member of the Public Outreach Committee, liaison to Tri-Boro Little League, the Municipal Drug Alliance, Ordinance Review Committee and Passaic County River Flood Basin Task Force.
John’s professional experience includes leadership and management roles working for two of the big four accounting firms and is currently a Vice President for an international life insurance firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from St. Joseph's University and a master’s in Business Administration from Seton Hall University.
Jenniffer Hagin and her husband, John, live in Bloomingdale with their son’s, Matthew and Anthony. Born and raised in Bloomingdale, Jenniffer wished to also raise her family in Bloomingdale, giving them the small-town upbringing that she experienced. She is a firm believer of supporting the community. Jenniffer has done so by volunteering for varies committees throughout the years. While serving the Bloomingdale Recreation and Drug Alliance committees, she was also Vice President of the Bloomingdale PTA and in charge of running the Scholastic Book Fairs for the elementary schools. In addition, she was part of a group of parents assisting with organizing the school libraries and proudly served on Bloomingdale’s 100th Celebration Committee.
The last eight years, Jenniffer has worked for one of the largest logistic companies in the US. Prior to that, she spent 10 years home raising her boys and being active in the community. Jenniffer also has experience working as a trainer for one of the larger copier companies in the USA.
Mayor 2021 to present: John D’Amato and his wife, Kathy, live in Bloomingdale with their two sons, Michael and Bryan. As a life-long resident, John has an invaluable perspective and understanding of Bloomingdale and its residents. John retired in 2017 after thirty-three years with Cablevision, twenty of which he spent in a supervisory capacity. He has been a member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department for 43 years and was chief from 2007 to 2010 and is currently treasurer of the Bloomingdale Fire Department Exempt Association. He coached Tri-Boro Little League and served as president for two years during which time he oversaw the completion of several major projects.
John served as a councilman from 2012-2021. During this time, he served as Council President for 3 years, Chairman of Public Safety, Chairman of Government Operations, member of the budget committee, as well as Council Liaison for the Bloomingdale Fire Department, the Office of Emergency Management, and the Bloomingdale Police Department. John also had the honor of chairing the Bloomingdale Centennial Committee.
Councilman 2012 to present: Ray Yazdi, along with his wife, Diane, and sons, Michael and Thomas, moved to Bloomingdale 29 years ago. Ray has been a councilman since 2012 and has served several times as Council President. He has served as chairman of the Budget, Government Operations & Shared Services Committees, Commissioner of the Planning Board and member of the Public Safety Committee. Ray has served as B&B United Soccer Club coach, Treasurer and President and is a former President of the Bloomingdale Recreation Commission. Ray’s professional background in financial planning and structuring for a Fortune 100 company has helped the council bring in over a million dollars per year of new revenues. He has improved the Borough’s long-term financial planning via infrastructure improvements while reducing debt, securing new shared-service agreements, and negotiating increased Tilcon fees and a PILOT program. Ray has also been a pivotal negotiator for the Meer tract; a development that will result in millions more in annual revenue.
Councilman 2022 to present: Dominic Catalano was appointed to the Council in early 2022 to fill an open seat left when John D'Amato was elected as Mayor. Once sworn in, Dominic immediately became an integral and impactful member of the Council. He became liaison with the Planning Board and joined the Government Operations Committee where he participated in the interviewing and hiring of two new Police Officers.
Councilwoman 2014 to present: Dawn's family moved often when she was growing up: she's lived in Georgia, Connecticut, Singapore, and Hawaii, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree and Paramedic certification.
After college, Dawn moved to New Jersey and met and married Mike Hudson, a native of Bloomingdale and long-standing member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department. They decided to settle down here to raise their two children Cole and Bella. Dawn is the finance manager for a local company and oversees many facets of the multi-million-dollar operation. She has embraced small-town life and is proud to call Bloomingdale home.
Dawn is in her 8th year on the Bloomingdale Council and has served on several committees: Clean Communities, Public Events, Public Health and Safety, Governmental Operations, Shared Serices, and Grants. She is also liaison to the Board of Health, oversees the Bloomingdale Community Garden, and is an active member of the Bloomingdale Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary and the Bloomingdale Office of Emergency Management. Dawn and her family are happy to provide a loving foster home for Tri-Boro Animal Welfare.
Councilman 2015-2021 and 2023 to present: Rich has lived in Bloomingdale since 2005 and, having raised his own two children here, believes our town is and should always be a great place to raise a family. He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1990 with a B.S. in Information and Computer Sciences. He spent over twenty years working for a national telecommunications corporation and now works as an IT consultant assigned to one of the Big Four accounting firms, advising in long term planning and large project purchases. A member of the Budget Committee since joining the Council, Rich strives to provide services to the residents of Bloomingdale without resorting to exorbitant tax increases. Having served on the Board of Education for four years, Rich has served as the Council’s liaison. Believing in the advantages of youth sports, he has been on the boards of BYO/ BBYC and Tri-Boro Little League, and is the League President of the North Jersey Small Lakes League.
